This is a plea for foster care in hopes you can all pass on the word to your friends!.  We have lost a couple of fosters in a week due to moving issues and family changes.  All of our furkids are fully vetted when they come out of the rescue vet and are fabulous pets!  We have a darling 5 year old coming out of a boarding facility up North on Friday.  His name is Buddy.  He is a sweetheart and is 5 years old...the best year of a dog!  We also have Sophie, who is between4-5 and very small.  Very shy and sweet.  She is going to need a foster family next week.  Same with little Natasha, a 7 mo. old beagle mix.  We are mostly concerned about finding Buddy a place first since he is due out on Friday.   Melanie 04/22/08

His name is Sam.  He’s an 8 year old male, Golden Retriever.  Very good with kids and pets.  Lived all his life with another dog. Owner is dumping him at the pound on Friday.  They live in Shawnee.

This is Harley. He has been relinquished by his owner. The reason given was "too much maintenance". Harley is a great dog and a ball full of energy. He is always so happy to see anyone that is willing to play with him and give him attention. A family that is able to give him a lot of exercise is best. HE loves to be the center of attention and mellows out when he is given regular exercise. The previous owner did not have enough time to give him the amount of exercise he needs. Harley is a neutered male, about one year old. He has been living inside a house and is housebroken. He is playful with children and has lived with kids ages 6 to 17.He is reportedly up to date on vaccines. He is available now.
